This joint venture aims to redefine North America’s Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) industry.
Background:
In 2019, the Zambrano Family acquired an AAC plant in Monterrey, Mexico, from Xella International with a vision to revamp the industry. With a strong legacy in the building materials sector, the Zambrano family, a founding member of CEMEX, a global cement producer, and for its contributions to the adhesive and mortar industry, set the foundation for Megaacrete’s innovative approach.
AERCON, owned by the Herb family, has been an industry leader in AAC production since 2002, boasting American-made products with exceptional thermal and acoustic properties and fire-resistant capabilities.
The partnership between Aercon and Litecrete will propel the AAC industry in the USA with a focus on thin reinforced panels for cladding, flooring, and firewall applications.

- Versatility and Performance: Megaacrete will produce AAC thin panels, ranging from 4’ to 10’ in length and available in 2, 3, and 4-inch thicknesses, offering versatility and high-performance solutions.

- Strategic Manufacturing Location: The first Megaacrete facility will commence operations in 2025 in Kerrville, TX. Spanning approximately 120,000 square feet with three autoclaves, the facility is expected to employ 40 team members initially.
- Partnership with Aircrete Europe: Megaacrete signed a mutually exclusive partnership agreement with Aircrete Europe to develop its new facility. Aircrete Europe is globally recognized for its innovative AAC machinery and technology, ensuring high-quality production.
- Corporate Offices and Training Center: The Kerrville location will house corporate offices and a training center, allowing vendors to experience the advantages of building with AAC.
